idioms are very important as they are seen in passages and heared in dialogs, idiom like expression composes of 2 or 3 words that give a meaning differs from literal meaning or meaning of every word individually.
in TOEFL your will encounter at least 7 idioms whether in dialogs or passages ,instructors normally advise to memorize at least 50 idioms before sit for TOEFL
